UNWTO and Uzbekistan sign memorandum of understanding
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) signed a memorandum of understanding.
According to the press service of the State Tourism Committee, the document was signed in Madrid during the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Spain.
The parties intend to implement several projects in the field of tourism. UNWTO experts will visit Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2018 to implement the tourism satellite account system and conduct training seminars for specialists in the field of statistics.
In addition, the parties will cooperate in the promotion of the tourism brand of Uzbekistan in foreign markets and improve education in the field of tourism.
