Unreasonably accrued debt for gas was canceled

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resident of Karshi district A.R. applied to the Committee on development of Competition and protection rights of Consumers about dissatisfaction with the activities of the gas supply company, the press service of the Committee said.

The appeal says that although the consumer regularly and timely made payments for gas supply, a debt of 1,600,000 soums was registered in his name.

Responsible employees of the territorial administration carried out work on the study and analysis in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 21 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Protection of Consumer Rights", Articles 21-22 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Competition", Article 12 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Natural Monopolies" , the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On appeals of individuals and legal entities".

As a result of the study, it was found that the applicant’s apartment in the Billingaz program was registered in the name of Bozorova Sozhida with the subscriber number 0118768295, and the gas consumption meter of the Osten-6 model was installed in the apartment. It became known that the meter was installed in 2022, and due to the untimely acceptance into the program, it was taken into account in accordance with paragraph 88 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to improve the procedure for using electricity and natural gas ".

As a result, the accrued unjustified debt to the consumer was written off from the account of the Billinggas program.

In the process of studying the received appeals of the same content to the territorial administration for 7 months, it was decided in favor of consumers in the amount of about 60 million soums.
