UNISTREAM turnover in Uzbekistan increases by 28% in 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turnover of UNISTREAM international money transfer system in Uzbekistan increased by 28% in 2011 to US$766 million. The volume of transactions in the country made up US$597 million in 2010.

The press service of the system said that number of transactions increased by 16% year-on-year in 2011 and reached 1.1 million.

The system said that successful work of UNISTREAM in Uzbekistan in 2011 is connected with effective work on all directions – expanding number of partners and network, improving service quality and introduction of new options.

UNISTREAM President Souren Hayriyan said main result of the system’s work in 2011 is that the company improved attractiveness of the system both for clients and partners.

He said that currently the system works with 13 financial institutions in Uzbekistan, including largest banks of the country.

Number of service points of UNISTREAM in Uzbekistan exceeds 1,200. There are 250 service points in Tashkent, over 70 in Samarkand, almost 60 in Namangan and 50 in Bukhara.

Uzbekistan is among states, where all service points support addressless remittances. This allows to send remittances to any point within Uzbekistan.

The system said that the money transfer with service on automatic exchange of currency is popular among clients.

UNISTREAM said that promotion of unified client cards is also success in the country. Currently, 18,000 clients in Uzbekistan own such cars. About 82% of transactions conducted with the cards.

Uzbekistan is one of the first countries, where it launched UNISTREAM Money Transfer Centers, which were opened in Bukhara and Samarkand cities.
