Unfair competition can result in abolishment of trademark
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan introduced changes to law “On trademarks, service marks and locations of goods origin”, which set term on abolishment of trademark registration fully and partially in case of unfair completion by the trademark owners.

Earlier, in line with the legislation, trademark registration can be abolished fully or partially in any time if the trademark was registered with violation of the legislation.

Trademark registration can be revoked after five years from the date of publication at official bulletin if trademark violates or look similar to trademarks of other companies.

Now the trademark certificate may be recognized fully or partially invalid within the 3 years from the date of publication of the registration in official bulletin if the trademark owner found guilty of unfair competition, according Norma.uz.
