United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) office in Uzbekistan and Uzbek Agriculture and Water Management Ministry launched new project on support of sustainable livestock development in Uzbekistan.

The project focuses to support efforts of the government of Uzbekistan in development of livestock and creation of necessary infrastructure, including artificial insemination and veterinary services. Uzbek Agriculture and Water Management Ministry is main execution agency of the project on the behalf of the Uzbek government.

It is expected that the project will analyze social-economic research of livestock sector, including legal and economic aspects, as well ass meat and diary products sectors of Uzbekistan and foreign markets.

The press release of UNDP said pilot projects in various parts of Uzbekistan will be selected to test innovative practices of livestock development.
