The "Tashabbus" contest focuses on stimulation of entrepreneurship initiative, creation of favourable conditions for the formation of the proprietary, improvement of business activities and popularization of the experience of leading businessmen.

The main organizer of Tashabbus contest is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with assistance and support of State Demonopolization Committee, Association of Farms, Association of Handicraftsmen "Hunarmand", as well as ministries and departments.

The joint project of UNDP Country Office in Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan "Supporting to the development of arbitration courts and other alternative methods of dispute settlement in the Republic of Uzbekistan" (Arbitration project) awarded several outstanding businesses. The project is aimed at developing the arbitration courts and other alternative ways of dispute resolution through creation of the Center for Development of Arbitration and Mediation under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The project awarded the winner in the nomination of "The best young entrepreneur" Dildora Avezova from Tashkent city and in the nomination of "The best individual entrepreneur" Umidillo Utaganov from Andijan, as well as and in the nomination of "The best entrepreneur" Anvar Nazirov (the first place), Nurillo Rahmatullaev (the second place) and Abduqunduz Yunusov (the third place). Rahmatjon Egamberdiev and Farhod Eshmatov were also awarded for their contribution for social-economic development of the region and introduction of modern technologies.

Mr. Shavkat Juraboev, manager of Arbitration Project, said: "The best young entrepreneur will receive opportunity to visit one of the European countries to study their experience in entrepreneurship, while others will be invited to attend summer school dedicated to the development of arbitration courts in Uzbekistan."
