UN meeting to be opened with the minute of silence in honor of Islam Karimov

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The meeting of the UN will be opened with the minute of silence in honor of the First President Islam Karimov, Jahon news agency reported.

“On 16 September, the first plenary session of the 71 th session of the UN General Assembly will take place, one of the main agenda of which will be “Tribute to the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov”, the report said.

In the course of the event it is scheduled presentations on behalf of the five UN regional groups, the delegations of United States and Uzbekistan.
