UMS launches 4G LTE network in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile operator Universal Mobile Systems (UMS) launched 4G LTE network in Tashkent on 20 June 2016.

According to the operator, the network was deployed in the diapason of frequency of 800 MHz (Band 20). Compared to LTE 2500-2700 networks, this will allow to increase coverage by four times and ensure better penetration. The peak data rate can reach up to 70 Mbps.

The subscribers, who own devices, supporting LTE 800, and 4G USB modems, can use services of 4G LTE network.

Director-General UMS Dmitry Nogorniy noted that launch of 4G LTE in Tashkent will ensure high-speed and reliable access to Internet. He said that new network opens new opportunities to use modern telecommunication services for citizens and guests in the Uzbek capital.

He underlined that the operator plans to deploy LTE networks in other settlements of Uzbekistan.
