Ukrainian firm supplies equipment for 19m euros to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sumy Frunze NPO joint-stock company, one of the leading machine-building complexes in Europe manufacturing equipment for oil, gas and chemical industries, supplied equipment for construction of compressor plant Ahangaran. The company said in a statement that total cost of the order is 19 million euros.

In line with the contract, signed in June 2008, Ukrainian firm produced three gascompressor units with the capacity of 16 megawatt each and other equipment.

The statement said the equipment will be used to gas transportation through mountain cross Kamchick. Compressor plant Ahangaran will supply natural gas to Ferghana Vallaey. The compressor station will be commissioned in November 2009.

Uzbekistan is one of the permanent customers of the Sumy Frunze NPO joint-stock company. In 2008, the company supplied equipment to Uzbekneftegaz national holding company. The Ukrainian firm said it is planning to launch new projects.
