The CCI Uzbekistan said that the delegation of Ukraine was led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostyantyn Gryshchenko.

The visit is aimed at developing trade-investment cooperation between business circles of Ukraine and Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of mutual cooperation on strengthening contacts between business circles of two states.

In 2011, the trade turnover between two states made up US$665.9 million, of which US$180 million fell to share of Uzbekistan’s exports and US$485.9 million to imports. There are 48 enterprises with Ukrainian capital in Uzbekistan, while five of them are enterprises with 100% Ukrainian capital.

These enterprises mainly operate in such spheres as trade, timber processing, food and chemistry industry, construction and services.

Some 30 joint ventures with Uzbek capital operate in Uzbekistan, which work in such sectors as consumer goods, goods supplies, services, etc.
