UFF recommends six cities to host 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) recommended six cities to FIFA to host the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. They are Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Qarshi, Mubarek and Guzar.
The UFF said that this does not mean that all six cities will host the matches of the tournament. FIFA will adopt final decision on the venues.
It added that the federation recommended Guzar and Mubarek as venues for hosting matches of the World Cup, while other four cities will be venues for matches, training and living.
The UFF said that earlier Vietnam was selected to host the event, but the FIFA decided that the country is not ready to host such large sport forum and decided to replace the venue.
