Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan won the first gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Uchkun Kuranbaev (-66 kg) became the first champion among our athletes.
In the fight for the gold medal, Kuranbayev entered the tatami with the Spaniard Sergio Ibanez. The uncompromising struggle ended in favor of our para-judoka.
In additional sections, Uchkun’s technique was assessed as "Vasari", which brought our compatriot a gold medal at the Paralympic Games.
