“Both Uchida and Fathi have received two yellow cards in separate matches and they will be suspended for the next matches. Uchida will not be eligible for Qatar match and Fathi will not be able to play against Uzbekistan,” said Suzuki.

Suzuki also said that the Syria head coach Tita Valeriu had been referred to the AFC Disciplinary Committee for non-fulfilment of the tournament media obligations.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Yasser Al Qahtani, Waleed Abdullah and Saud Kariri have been fined USD2000 for refusing to comply with the tournament media obligations.
