Ucell launches new service “Phrase of day”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile communication operator Ucell launched new service “Phrase of day” in cooperation with British Council and content provider Intech Media Group.

The service will help people, who want to study English, to improve their vocabulary with SMS messages based on British Council materials. The users should subscribe to the service.

Each day the subscribers will receive new word in English with translation in Russian and Uzbek languages along with phrase with new word. At the end of the week, the users can pass a test. The correct answers to the test will be sent next day.

The subscribers can select level of the lessons – beginning, medium and advanced.

Umida Ziyamova, head of corporate communication of Ucell, expressed hope that the service will be useful to improving their language skills.

Natalia Tsarikova, manager on English language programmes at British Council, said that the learning English language will open new opportunities for personal and professional growth of people. Today, mobile devices are not only communication tools, but also serves as entertainment and learning gadgets. She said that many people use mobiles to learn languages and now new service launched to help people to learn English.

To subscribe, the users should send with keyword to short number 0660. The users should send 1 or easy to subscriber to beginning level, 2 or medium – to medium level and 3 or hard – for advanced level. The subscribers should send 0 or stop to unsubscribe from the service.

The cost of the service is US$0.05 a day (including VAT). The payment is conducted with incoming SMS message from number 2660.
