The action gathers funds for urgent paid operation, medical products and other medical aid to children, suffering from cancer diseases. Participants can send SMS to number 0770 and the action will last till 15 June 2009.

The company said US$0.2 (including VAT) will be taken from the account of subscriber after each SMS. Received funds will be directed to National Scientific Cancer Center of Uzbekistan.

Child cancer is curable. According to statistics, over 80% of child with cancer are recovering. Oncology is one of the most expensive healthcare’s sectors.

Oguz Memiguven, Coscom director-general, said: “We hope, SMS action will be effective tool for assistance of children, suffering from cancer. Let’s help children together and their smiles present us happiness and brightness.”
