Ucell increases external internet traffic up to 450 Mbps
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ucell, the second largest mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan and subsidiary of Swedish-Finnish telecommunication operator TeliaSonera, increased its external internet traffic up to 450 Mbps.
This is the second expansion of internet channel in last four month. The growth rate made up 92%. In November, Ucell announced about increasing external internet traffic up to 380 Mbps.
The operator noted that total traffic of mobile internet of Ucell increased by 12% to 6,300 Gbps on 1 and 2 January 2012. Ucell subscribers actively used internet to congratulate friends and relatives with New Year.
The maximum peak of external internet use made up 515 Mpbs (including TAS-IX) at the night of 31 December 2011 and 1 January 2012.
The press-service of Ucell said that the company is doing its best to develop mobile internet in Uzbekistan and providing maximum speed for its subscribers.
Ucell said that according to its data, it is only mobile operator in Uzbekistan, external internet channel of which exceeds 450 Mbps.
