Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile operator Ucell and SAP announced the launch of a strategic partnership. Its goal is to develop the company’s information systems using the world’s best practices.
Cooperation involves the implementation of projects in the field of resource management, building budgeting systems and business planning, as well as relationships with the operator’s clients. The signing of the relevant memorandum of intent took place at the SAP Forum Tashkent Forum 2019.
At the first stage, SAP and Ucell plan to develop a “roadmap” for the implementation of digital transformation, and also to assemble a working group to develop a plan of change. Within the framework of the partnership, SAP will take part in the work of the expert council on the development of solutions for centralizing the IT infrastructure, and the operator, in turn, will become a member of the SAP industry councils to share experiences and provide best practices.
“Ucell adheres to a strategy that involves the creation of a business model of a modern telecom operator, actively using the latest technologies. One of the key objectives of the company, in this regard, is the creation and support of a centralized and efficient IT infrastructure. This is a very important step, because today the speed of launching new products, increasing customer loyalty and the ability to quickly respond to market changes are directly dependent on technology,” Abdurahmon Abdurahmanov, procurement director for Ucell, commented.
“Advanced IT technologies help telecom operators to find new ways to increase customer loyalty, effectively manage costs, and also provide opportunities for new growth. The Memorandum with Ucell is an excellent example of how to constantly identify growth areas with the help of IT in order to increase both its own and client profit,” Laziz Adhamov, managing director of SAP Uzbekistan, said.
