The sides discussed settlement of a few issues related to consular matters. They also exchanged views on a number of political issues, which included the situation in Afghanistan as well as the proposal by Uzbekistan to organise a meeting of the countries neighbouring Afghanistan with the participation of the Unites Sates, Russia and EU countries.

Sheikh Abdullah extended an invitation to his Uzbek counterpart to participate in the preparatory meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) meeting due to be held in January next year.
