Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As a result of a traffic accident in Ishtykhan district of Samarkand region, two people were killed, the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Directorate stated.

The incident occurred on 15 June at the 61st kilometer of the M-37 Samarkand-Bukhara-Turkmenbashi highway.

The Nexia 3 collided with the rear of an Isuzu truck that was parked on the side of the road.

The passenger in the front seat of the car died on the spot. The passenger sitting in the back seat of the car died in the intensive care unit of the district central hospital.
