Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Two of the three individuals killed when a boulder fell onto a Chevrolet Cobalt in Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya region were confirmed to be Hungarian citizens.
Earlier it was reported that a massive boulder fell onto a Cobalt vehicle on the Tahtakoracha Pass, resulting in the deaths of three people inside the car.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary announced that two of the deceased were Hungarian citizens. The embassy extended sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
Uzbek authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident, as stated by the embassy.
“We are prepared to assist in the swift return of the bodies to their homeland,” the embassy’s statement added.
