Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two bloggers who distributed videos promoting violence against women were sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest.

The video showed a wife being beaten by her husband, after which the girl's father forced her to return to her husband, threatening that she could become someone's mistress or second wife.

According to the decision of the Shaykhontokhur District Criminal Court, Sh. O. and R. A. were found guilty of committing crimes under Article 189-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production, import, distribution, advertising, demonstration of products promoting oppression, violence or cruelty) , Article 189-2 (propaganda of gender discrimination), Article 194 (failure to comply with the legal requirements of an internal affairs officer), as well as Part 1 and Article 195 (obstructing employees of internal affairs bodies from performing their official duties).

Each of them was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest.
