Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines withdrew the Tutukon Neo drug from circulation in Uzbekistan.

According to the press service of the State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical Equipment, State Unitary Enterprise "State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical Equipment" under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces the recall of the drug "TUTUKON NEO oral solution 250 ml, manufacturer S.A. Laboratorio Miquel Y Garriga, Spain Series: R-049, R-050, R-051, R-078, R-080, R-222, R-236, R-081, R-124, R-204, R- 205, R-206, R-218, R-219, R-220, R-221, R-223, R-224, R-225.

The recall affected batches that were produced in violation of the requirements of good manufacturing practice - GMP by the decision of the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS).

The AEMPS  classified these violations as a class 2 defect "A quality defect that does not pose a serious or life-threatening danger to the patient."
