The document was signed during the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Tajikistan on 9-10 March 2018.

The purpose of the signed memorandum is coordination of efforts of Turonbank and Orienbank to provide financial services to increase the volume of mutual trade between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan.

Realization of the memorandum will allow to begin financing of transactions connected with export of goods and services from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Tajikistan and accordingly from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The first stage in implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding will be establishment of correspondent relations and financing of export-import transactions between Turonbank and Orienbank.
