Turonbank not sell its stake to foreign investors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev excluded Turonbank from the list of joint-stock companies, state shares in which are sold to strategic foreign investors.

Uzbek leader amended the presidential decree from 28 April 2015 “On measures to increase the share and importance of private property in the economy”.

The decision was made in connection with the need to increase the contribution of Turonbank to implementation of investment projects on the complex socio-economic development of the regions.

Turonbank is included to the list of joint-stock companies, engaged in production and primary processing of strategic raw materials, as well as natural monopoly entities and suppliers of socially important goods and services at regulated prices.

The companies and organizations included to this list should not sell the state stake in their authorized capital to foreign investors.

In this connection, Turonbank was excluded from the list of joint-stock companies, state shares in which are sold to strategic foreign investors.
