Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The dynamic growth in the level of attractiveness of Uzbekistan for foreign tourists is noted by the leading Turkish media. In particular, the leading media in this country, the Anatolian News Agency, published an article on the growing indicators of our country in attracting foreign tourists.
The articles notes that the number of foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan in 2019 increased by 26.2 percent - up to 6.7 million. Moreover, with reference to the acting Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akulov said that the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan is the leader in the region of Central Asia. As emphasized in the publication, Turkey ranks first among non-CIS countries for sending tourists to Uzbekistan, ahead of countries such as China, South Korea and India.
It was reported that most of the tourists from neighboring countries arrived in Uzbekistan last year from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Russia and Afghanistan.
