Turkish investors to be attracted to clusters for the production of building materials and housing construction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 October, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of Uzpromstroybank - Chairman of the Council for the Development of the Building Materials Industry Sahi Annaklichev and Chairman of the Board of the Association of Manufacturers of Building Materials of Turkey Tyfun Gucuk-ogly.

The Decree of the President of our country from 9 June 2021 on additional measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions separately defines the task of attracting foreign experts to the development of local industrial sectors, in particular the building materials industry.

The Council for the Development of the Building Materials Industry carries out certain work based on the requirements of the Decree. In particular, active cooperation has been established with higher educational institutions, engineering and manufacturing companies in Turkey, joint training courses are being held at the “School of Entrepreneurs” training center.

The meeting organized with representatives of the Association of Turkish Building Materials Producers was another practical reflection of the work in this direction.

During the event, issues of applying the experience of Turkey in radical reform and raising the production of building materials in Uzbekistan to a new level were discussed.

An agreement was reached to establish permanent cooperation with Turkish investors in attracting them to the clusters of building materials production and housing construction created in the regions.

The Turkish Building Materials Manufacturers Association was founded in 1984. It currently has offices in Brussels and Cameroon through which it manages projects funded by the European Commission.

Over 75 percent of Turkey’s building materials exports are accounted for by members of this association.
