Turkish expert to train Uzbek furniture makers in modern technologies
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dilshod Rasulov, met with Turkish designer-technologist Gürkan Kurun to discuss opportunities for advancing Uzbekistan’s furniture industry.
The meeting was also attended by Aziz Egamberdiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Industries. The discussions focused on engaging a highly qualified Turkish specialist in Uzbekistan’s furniture sector for a period of six to twelve months. It was noted that all expenses related to the initiative would be covered by the Trade Development Company JSC.
As part of the cooperation program, Gürkan Kurun conducted a specialized training seminar on March 14–15 in the Khanka district of the Khorezm region for entrepreneurs in the furniture manufacturing sector. Participants gained valuable insights into modern furniture design trends, innovative materials, and methods for optimizing production processes.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached between the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Industries, Trade Development Company JSC, and Gürkan Kurun to train specialists in Uzbekistan’s furniture industry.
This collaboration is expected to enhance the professional skills of local specialists while facilitating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, ultimately creating new export opportunities for Uzbek furniture products.
