Turkish CASHM BARLAS invests US$2 million in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turkish CASHM BARLAS plans to invest US$2 million in the creation of new footwear production facilities in Uzbekistan.

A meeting with investors from Turkiye was held at the Uzcharmsanoat Association.

The main issue of discussion was the launch of a new shoe production project.

During the meeting, investors were presented with information about small industrial zones specializing in the leather and footwear industry.

During the negotiations, the parties also discussed practical aspects of the implementation of the investment project.

The Turkish side expressed its intention to implement an investment project for the production of various types of shoes. The initial cost of the project is US$2.0 million, with 70% of the equipment to be imported from Turkiye.

It is planned to acquire land in small industrial zones specializing in the leather and footwear industry in the Tashkent region through an auction, construction of a building and the creation of a new enterprise.

During the negotiations, issues of cooperation in the field of training designers and technologists in developing footwear models and organizing their practice at the enterprise were also discussed.

It was decided to conduct trainings for specialists from Uzbekistan in this direction.
