Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ambassador of Türkiye to Uzbekistan, Olgan Bekar, has congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming New Year.

"May 2025 bring you health, peace, prosperity, and happiness. I wish for the relationship between Türkiye and Uzbekistan to grow even stronger in the new year," he said in his message.

The diplomat noted that thanks to the sincere friendship and active dialogue between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, bilateral relations have reached historic highs.

"2024 was a very fruitful and memorable year for our relations. In June, we held the third meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara, where we warmly welcomed President Mirziyoyev and his delegation. During the visit, 18 agreements were signed, and a roadmap for the future was established," the ambassador added.

Olgan Bekar emphasized that Türkiye and Uzbekistan continue to develop strategic cooperation in various fields, such as education, culture, art, tourism, agriculture, energy, and security.

"We are working hard together to increase trade volume, boost Turkish investments in Uzbekistan, and improve the welfare of our peoples," he said.

"We are also strengthening cooperation within international organizations, such as the Organization of Turkic States, and working toward the integration and unity of the Turkic world," the ambassador added.

"Türkiye always supports the reforms and development carried out under the leadership of President Mirziyoyev. We are pleased to witness the growth of Uzbekistan’s international stature and its active role in regional development," Olgan Bekar concluded.

In closing, the ambassador congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming New Year: "May in 2025 peace, stability, and prosperity between the Turkish and Uzbek peoples be strengthened, and may the cooperation between our countries flourish.
