Turkey updates requirements for citizens, arriving in in the country

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Health of Turkey announced that air passengers arriving in Turkey from abroad from 30 December must have a valid certificate of passing the COVID-19 test using the SARS-COV-2 PCR method, made no later than 72 hours at the time of crossing the state border of Turkey, the press service of Uzbekistan Airways reported.

Passengers who do not present a negative SARS-COV-2 PCR test will be quarantined for 7 days at the address (house, hotel, etc.) specified for accommodation at the border crossing. Persons who do not provide an address of residence in Turkey will be quarantined in places designated by the Turkish Ministry of Health.

After a 7-day quarantine, passengers with a positive SARS-COV-2 PCR test will be treated in accordance with the current COVID-19 rules of the Turkish Ministry of Health.

These measures will be valid until 1 March 2021.
