Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Famous Uzbekistan filmmakers are taking part in the Korkut ATA International Film Festival, which takes place in Turkey on 8-12 November. The Uzbek Cinema Day was held yesterday as part of the film festival program.

A video was shown about the Tashkent International Film Festival “Silk Road Masterpiece”. Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director General of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, and Ahmet Demircan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, delivered a congratulatory speech.

Uzbek national songs sounded, performances of famous Uzbekistan cinema and pop stars took place. The cultural event turned into a real festive celebration.

The premiere of the film “Tutqunlik” (“Captivity”) directed by Rashid Malikov, filmed by the order of the Cinematography Agency, took place.

On 11 November, television premieres of Uzbek films shown at the film festival began on the national TV channels of Turkey, including “Khalq Jasorati” (“The Feat of the People”) directed by Ali Khamrayev and “Ilkhak” by Jakhongir Akhmedov, filmed by the order of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency.
