Trump: U.S. Looks Forward to Expanding Bilateral Ties with Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In his congratulatory message to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the country’s 34th Independence Day, U.S. President Donald Trump highlighted the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.

“The United States looks forward to strengthening existing ties and opening new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation,” the message published on the official website of the President of Uzbekistan reads.

Trump noted that since gaining independence, Uzbekistan has continued to implement important reforms that contribute to the development of strategic partnership between the two countries. The U.S. President emphasized that both sides have already achieved significant results, including strengthened borders, growth in bilateral trade and investment, and support for freedom of religion and regional stability.
