Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A traffic accident in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent on the evening of 26 October claimed the life of an Isuzu truck driver, according to the press service of the Tashkent Main Traffic Safety Directorate.

The incident occurred on the 4R21 section of the Tashkent Ring Road. An Isuzu truck collided with the rear of another truck that was making a U-turn.

The 37-year-old Isuzu driver died at the scene. The 42-year-old driver of the second truck did not require medical assistance.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code, which pertains to violations of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation resulting in the death of a person.
