Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the World Triathlon Family have gathered in Taiwan these days. The international tournament "Challenge Taiwan" will be held here from 22 to 23 April. 

A total of 10,000 participants from all over the world attended the event. The event is also attended by Advisor to the Chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan Alisher Karimov and Secretary General of the Triathlon Federation of Uzbekistan Elena Kun.

One of the main goals of this business trip is to study the international experience of organizing triathlon competitions. Today, before the main competitions, representatives of the Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation and the Challenge Family brand studied the track where the competitions themselves will take place. It is important to note that exhibition points were organized at the junction of the start and finish zones, where sections of the “Challenge Samarkand” were opened, which will be held in Samarkand in September this year. The guests, who were interested in the section, were provided with information about the rich history of our country, about diligent preparation for the upcoming competitions.

On 22-23 April, athletes will compete for medals. The best will be determined among adults according to the following programs:

Long distance: 3.8 km swim; cycling race for 180 km; 42.2 km run

Average distance: 1.9 km swim; 90 km bicycle race; 21.1 km run

Olympic distance: 1.5 km swimming; 40 km bicycle race; 10 km run.
