Triathlete from Uzbekistan wins the ІІІ stage of the TEMIRADAM Cup in Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Andrei Sharipov, a triathlete from Uzbekistan, became the winner of the third stage of the TEMIRADAM Cup in Shymkent (Kazakhstan).

The race at the “standard” distance (the Olympic distance) consisted of three stages: 1,500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of a cycling race and a run of ten kilometers. A total of 84 amateur athletes from Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, Almaty, Tashkent, Moscow, as well as Kostanay, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Almaty, Akmola, Atyrau and East Kazakhstan regions took part in the competition.

Andrei Sharipov finished first, showing a result of 2 hours 10 minutes 40 seconds. Among women, Ainur Kumarova from Nur-Sultan became the best in the overall standings with a result of 2 hours 56 minutes 27 seconds. The victory among the relay teams was won by the team of the Special Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve in water sports of Turkestan region, who overcame the distance in 2 hours 24 minutes and 10 seconds.

The third stage of the TEMIRADAM Triathlon Cup is the stage of the national triathlon tournament among athletes of the Age Group category (amateurs), conducted in order to popularize triathlon and healthy lifestyle among the population.

It is worth noting that this is another victory of Andrei Sharipov in these competitions. Earlier, on May 12, 2019, he won first place in the second stage of the TEMIRADAM Cup, which was held in the city of Taraz (Kazakhstan). He was also the winner on May 5, 2019 in the first triathlon competitions among amateurs in Tashkent "Triathlon Sprint Tashkent".
