Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov received a warning for improperly solving problems in the field of logistics.

A video conference meeting on priority tasks in the field of investment, export and international cooperation for 2024 is being chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the meeting, pending issues regarding the organization of reliable logistics chains for the delivery of local products to foreign markets were analyzed.

It was noted that in some countries additional fees are charged for the transportation of goods, the visa regime for drivers is complicated, the harmonization of weight requirements for vehicles has not been completed, and there are no terminals in the ports for storing and processing export goods.

Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov received a warning for improperly addressing these issues.

The Ministry of Investment was tasked with solving problems in the field of logistics and speeding up regional and large international projects.

It was noted that it is necessary to intensify work within the framework of creating strategic railway corridors.

Officials have been instructed to take measures to simplify the visa regime for our domestic carriers in foreign countries.
