Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Ministry of Transport held discussions on the Transport Master Plan project for the cities of Nukus and Karshi, developed by specialists from the Tashkent State Transport University.
The discussion was attended by R. Babayev, Head of the Public Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport, A. Tolakov, Chief Specialist, and U. Abdurazzakov, Head of the Department of Vehicle Engineering at the Tashkent State Transport University, and Sh. Hakimov, Head of the Department of Transport Intelligent Systems.
The meeting addressed issues related to traffic flow around markets, institutions of higher education, schools, medical facilities, and other social facilities in Nukus and Karshi. It also included reasoned proposals for their improvement and aspects related to the development of a new public transport network.
The Master Plan for the development of transport and road infrastructure in the cities of Nukus and Karshi includes plans for the construction of bus terminals, bus stops, parking lots, overpasses, and the development of plans and proposals in the transport sector for future prospects, taking into account the economic and social development of the cities.
