Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A collegial meeting was held at the State Tax Committee on the implementation of the Presidential Decree "On organizational measures to reduce the shadow economy and increase the efficiency of tax authorities" from 30 October 2020.

The event, organized in the format of a video conference, was attended by the leadership of the State Tax Service bodies in the amount of more than 3 thousand people, including 92 employees of the central office of the State Tax Committee and more than 2.9 thousand heads of the State Tax Service and State Tax Inspection of all regions.

It was noted that with the adoption of this decree, the tax service is completely transformed both in terms of ideology and in the direction of the structure of the bodies themselves, which will reduce the level of the shadow economy at least twice in comparison with the current indicator (48%).

According to the structure of the State Tax Service bodies approved by the Presidential Decree, 12 departments have been created in the central office.

The conceptually new system has the following priorities:

- widespread introduction of information technologies in tax administration and services, therefore, nullification of the interference of the human factor;

- support for entrepreneurship both in terms of service and addressing problems within the framework of the project "Tax Service - Assistant to the Entrepreneur";

- ensuring a fair and timely response to public appeals; 

- additional privileges for conscientious taxpayers, stimulation of voluntary fulfillment by taxpayers of their obligations; 

- a completely new approach to the selection, training and retraining of personnel in the system of tax authorities; 

- strengthening the work of the 4th sector to improve the life of the population; 

- in-depth analysis of existing problems and practical implementation of system solutions. 

The event was held under the slogan "Only those tax officials who see fairness in the work of the tax system can show justice to entrepreneurs."
