Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that Uzbekistan started to ensure free conversion of the national currency.

Legal entities and individuals have been able to freely purchase and sell foreign currency in commercial banks, Shavkat Mirziyoyev added.

President said that the volume of transactions for purchase and sale of foreign currency increased by 1.5 times and reached US$1.3 billion. He added that there was not such case in 25 year history of Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev noted that this is a real figure, coming not only from the Central Bank, but also from the international financial institutions.
