Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Economy and Finance hosted a meeting between First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov and representatives of Yamagata University of Japan under the leadership of Professor and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Research of Yamagata University Tadashi Onodera.

On the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, on 10 January 2023, within the framework of the Uzbek-Japanese Business Forum held in Tashkent, a cooperation agreement was signed between JSCB "Business Development Bank" and the Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Research of Yamagata University. This agreement envisages the establishment of cooperation in the direction of entrepreneurship education, formation of practical skills of entrepreneurship, as well as training of trainers to carry out activities in the centers to promote small business development.

This project involves researching the potential of undeveloped regions, forming partnerships with local entrepreneurs and establishing a support network, as well as training and counseling for local entrepreneurs.

The parties also discussed opportunities for further cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of small business and entrepreneurship development.

Both parties expressed readiness for cooperation and noted the importance of such projects for sustainable development of the regions through the development and support of small and medium-sized enterprises.
