Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 January, a traffic accident occurred in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, resulting in two injuries, according to the press service of the Traffic Safety Department (UBDD).
The incident took place on Mustakillik Street when a 20-year-old driver of a BYD, attempting to change lanes into the first lane, collided with a Nissan vehicle that had stopped at a traffic light.
The impact caused the Nissan to veer into the oncoming lane, hitting two pedestrians who were on the opposite side of the road.
The victims received medical assistance.
In connection with the incident, law enforcement authorities are conducting a follow-up investigation.
