Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The prestigious event “Luxury Symposium 2019” was held in the Indian capital, in which Uzbekistan acted as a partner country, Dunyo news agency reported.

The event was organized by the non-profit Luxury League Foundation, the founder of which is a famous Indian designer and ambassador for culture and tourism in India.

The forum was attended by representatives of Samarkand, Namangan, Khorezm and Bukhara. For two days of the event, the Uzbek exposition was visited by thousands of guests. They can get acquainted with the cultural and tourist potential of the regions of our republic, as well as with more than 100 local brands of fabrics and clothes.

The Symposium “Lux -2019” is held in two formats - as part of a discussion forum in which representatives of the governments of India, senior officials, ambassadors, artists from around the world and the media participate.

Given the great attention paid to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the country, the organizers of the events were invited to hold the next forum "Symposium of luxury 2020" in the city of Khiva. All events have been approved.

Within the framework of the forum, musical performances of the folklore group “Surkhon” and the Khorezm dance ensemble were also held. In addition, guests were offered refreshments from Uzbekistan.

The founder of the League of Luxury, the Ambassador for Tourism and Culture of Uzbekistan in India, Ritu Bury, in an interview with Dunyo, noted the following:

- In September, I was in Uzbekistan and participated in the First Festival of Folk Applied Arts in Kokand. I was impressed by the huge potential of Uzbekistan in this area. I need to pay particular attention to supporting and promoting handicrafts.

We are pleased to present all the diversity, wealth and communication between the cultures of our countries. I think that we will find many joint projects to promote national brands and cultural heritage at the global level.
