Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to create favorable conditions for tourists in Bekabad and Zangiota districts of the Tashkent region, the opening of two Tourist Information Centers took place at the Oybek and Gisht-Kuprik checkpoints.
The purpose of tourist information centers is to provide foreign guests with all the necessary information about the country’s tourism potential, accommodation facilities, popular destinations and domestic routes.
Also, in the centers, tourists will be provided with handouts in the form of booklets, brochures and magazines about the regions of the republic, as well as assistance in calling a taxi and in acquiring tourist SIM cards.
Earlier, during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Tashkent region from 1 to 3 June, a number of tasks were set, one of which was the creation of Tourist Information Centers at the post “Gisht-Kuprik” bordering with the Republic of Kazakhstan and at the post “Oybek bordering with the Republic of Tajikistan.
The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan launched the Tourism Information Centers jointly with the Tashkent regional khokimiyat and the Tourism Department of Tashkent region.
