Tourist Complex Inaugurated on the Summit of “Oltin Bel”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his working visit to Parkent district, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured a newly inaugurated tourist complex located on the summit of Oltin Bel, as well as reviewed several new tourism initiatives underway in the region.

A modern hotel complex has been constructed on a three-hectare mountainside. Currently, the facility includes two hotels with a combined capacity for 188 guests, capsule lodges, a restaurant, and supporting infrastructure. The second phase of the project envisions the construction of 20 additional lodging modules.

The President inspected the amenities created for comfortable tourist stays and issued instructions for further infrastructure development.

Overall, to boost the region’s tourism potential, 52 investment projects worth a total of US$1.8 billion are planned. These initiatives are expected to create around 3,300 new jobs and allow the region to serve up to one million tourists annually.

Particular attention is being given to the development of Parkent’s snow-capped mountains, where, with the involvement of Austrian specialists, a large-scale ski resort is planned across a 1,200-hectare area.

The project will include the construction of hotels ranging from three- to five-star, ski slopes, lifts, chalets, recreational and picnic areas, restaurants, and wellness centers. The entire resort infrastructure will be developed in three phases, ultimately enabling it to accommodate up to 15,000 visitors per day. Around 600 service facilities will be established as part of the project, and with seasonal services included, the total number of new jobs is expected to reach 10,000.

The new resort is projected to become one of the flagship tourist destinations of the Tashkent region, alongside the already operational Amirsoy complex in Bostanlyk district.

During a meeting with representatives of the construction and tourism sectors, the President discussed measures to refine the project, expand the range of services, and accelerate the implementation of all planned activities.
