Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, together with representatives of the Samitol Tour travel company, held talks with Seyfettin Inanc, a member of the Ismailaga branch of the Nakshbandiya tariqat of Turkey, and the head of the Yesevi tur travel company Mehmet Kay, Dunyo news agency reports.
During the meeting, Consul General Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev and representatives of Samitol Tour Zafar Khairullayev and Shavkat Yakubov noted that 54 flights of Turkish and Uzbek airlines connect Istanbul and Uzbekistan weekly, excluding charter flights. At the same time, for the convenience of tourists, there are direct flights to Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana and Urgench.
It is especially emphasized that half of the passengers are tourists making pilgrimages to holy places in Uzbekistan and using the services of hotels and guides.
In addition, it was noted that according to the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics, in 2022 Turkey was among the top five countries from which most tourists came to Uzbekistan.
Particular attention of representatives of the Turkish tourism industry was drawn to the readiness of the Uzbek side for mutually beneficial cooperation and the provision of the necessary assistance for organizing high-quality "ziyorat tours" to Uzbekistan.
In turn, Seyfettin Inanc expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Consulate General in organizing trips to Uzbekistan to members of the Naqshbandi tariqat. It was emphasized that their visits to the historical cities of Bukhara and Samarkand served as an excellent opportunity to present the tourist attractiveness of our republic to the Turkish population.
Mehmet Kaya noted that at the end of October it is planned to send another group of 35 people to Uzbekistan.
Representatives of "Samitol Tour" and "Yesevi tur" agreed to develop a new joint project for the followers of the Ismailaga movement - "All Uzbekistan".
