Tourist brand of Tashkent approved

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent City Council of People’s deputies approved the logo (tourist brand) of the capital by its decision.

The sign in the form of an open golden gate and blue sky, which together form the letter "T", was recognized as the best by the results of a competition held by the Khokimiyat of Tashkent and the Public Council under the administration of the city.

The new logo of the capital will be used at tourism exhibitions, trade fairs and other events in Uzbekistan and abroad, at tourist sites, maps and other printed and electronic materials, souvenirs, clothing and other products designed for tourists, as well as in advertisements, videos and TV shows on tourism in Tashkent.

The competition for the development of the brand of the capital was held in the fall, but preparations for it were started in July. The competition commission included representatives of the Public Council, specialists in the field of marketing, branding, design, having experience in Uzbekistan, Russia and the countries of Europe and Asia.

The objectives of the project were: creating a positive image of Tashkent to improve its investment attractiveness, strengthening regional positions in Central Asia and creating an atmosphere of a promising and favorable place for living, investment and tourism. The brand platform, which was developed for several months, is based on the idea: “Tashkent is our common home”.

The concept of the logo is based on the idea of hospitality and openness of Tashkent (the gate), as well as a symbol of well-being and tranquility (clear sky). The peculiarity of the sign is that it is dynamic and easily transformed, can change color and include different thematic patterns, images and figures. This allows integrating it into any urban environment and any event: public spaces, museums, municipal services, transport, exhibitions, concerts, and so on.

Tourists coming to Tashkent will see the city through the prism of a friendly and open image. When leaving, our guests will keep warm memories of the city, which every time opens from a new, unexplored and interesting side, about a city whose doors are always open.
