Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 October, an exhibition of scientific developments and innovative projects in the field of tourism and cultural heritage started in the building of the Ministry of Innovative Development.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, industry experts, authors of innovative projects from 9 higher educational institutions and 4 research centers, as well as about 20 business entities with more than 20 innovative projects and scientific developments in the field of tourism and cultural heritage .
The purpose of organizing the exhibition is to commercialize the results of scientific activities of higher educational institutions and research institutions, support innovatively active business entities, attract representatives of the private sector to innovative activities, digitalize the processes of providing services through the implementation of new innovative projects and creating amenities for citizens.
The tourism industry is one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic. For this reason, projects are being implemented all over the world aimed at the digitalization of tourism services and the creation of new types of services. In particular, since the beginning of the pandemic in the tourism sector, 13 projects worth 14.3 billion soums in the field of tourism and 24 projects worth 26 billion soums in the field of cultural heritage have been implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
