Tourism potential of Uzbekistan presented in Ukraine
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation “Uzbekistan as tourism direction” was held at Hyatt Regency Kiev at the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine and Uzbekistan Havo Yollari in cooperation with Uzbek and Ukraine tourism agencies.

During the presentation, the exhibition on tourism, recreation and investment potential of Uzbekistan was also presented, the Association of the Private Tourism Agencies said.

Representatives of mass media, tourism agencies, entrepreneurs, and others participated at the presentation.

Chairperson of the State Agency of Ukraine on tourism and resorts Yelena Shapovalova said that cooperation of Uzbekistan and Ukraine in tourism received strong impulse for development due to organization of several events on tourism industry of Uzbekistan in Ukraine.

She said that currently tourism industry of Uzbekistan is one of the most perspective sector of economy and serves as catalyst for social-economic development of the country.

She said that largest tour operators of Ukraine visited Uzbekistan to familiarize with opportunities of tourism industry, hotel business, roads, banking services, etc.

Shapovalova expressed gratitude for organization of the presentation and chance to familiarize with tourism potential of Uzbekistan. She said that Uzbekistan and Ukraine has great opportunities for developing partnership in tourism sector.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiev briefed the participants on development of Uzbekistan and its relations with Ukraine. He said that the events help to boost ties between two nations.

During the event, the participants considered development of relations between Uzbekistan and Ukraine in tourism sector, plans for development, etc.

At the end of the presentation, the guests familiarized with works of the craftsmen and materials bout historic and tourism sights of Uzbekistan. They also tasted Uzbek meals, sweets and fruits.
