The event was aimed at briefing German society with history, culture and traditions of Uzbekistan and tourism potential of the country.
Public-political, business and academic circles, as well as mass media of Germany participated at the presentation.
The participants were informed about democratic, judicial-legal and social-economic reforms in Uzbekistan, social-economic development of Uzbekistan in 2012 and priorities for 2013. They were also briefed about traditions and culture of Uzbek people, tourism potential, modernization of economy, etc.
Professor Claus Pander briefed the participants about great poets and scholars of Uzbekistan, who contributed to development world science and culture. He said that Uzbekistan has great tourism potential with large number of monuments, favourable climate and developed infrastructure.
He said that Uzbekistan has rich natural resources and economic potential. He added that Uzbekistan achieved significant success in development of industry and introduction of new technologies.
