Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran took part in the International Exhibition of National Clothes and Customs of the Islamic World, which was held on 28-30 April in Tehran, Dunyo news agency reported.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Culture of Iran, the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization, the UNESCO Regional Representation Center, the Iranian Fashion and Clothing Regulatory Organization, as well as representatives of public and political circles, the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Tehran.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the Embassy of our country organized a national stand, which aroused great interest among visitors with the variety and beauty of national men's and women's costumes, symbolizing the historical traditions, lifestyle and age-old customs of the Uzbek people.
Visitors to the Uzbek stand were also able to get acquainted with the folk arts and crafts of Uzbekistan, information about the famous tourist sites of our country, interesting travel routes, hotels and service tourism infrastructure.
The photo exposition dedicated to ancient cities, unique architectural monuments, tourist attractions, national cuisine, unique natural landscape and modern development of Uzbekistan aroused keen interest of the audience.
The guests were provided with presentation materials, booklets and brochures, which describe in detail the tourist and recreational potential of our country, the culture and hospitality of the Uzbek people.
